It's almost Christmas time

This is the second part of the Santa Baby Collection polishes i got for review from Missi at Different Dimension. In previous post i showed you one of my favorites and said i had one more fave .... well i may need to place another order because i got a 3rd fave .

***All of the polishes are shown with 1 coat of Out the door fast drying top coat. ***

I've Been An Awful Good Girl
This one was my second fave . It's a white base but depending on the light it might reflect pink . The pink might have to do with the pink shimmer the polish has along with pink and purple glitters in different sizes. I decided to layer 1 coat over 1 coat of Essie Raise Awareness.

Think Of All The Fellas That I Haven't Kissed
This was my 3rd surprise . In the bottle i was like ok it looks pretty but then over that turquoise blue color it just looks beautiful. This one has blue, purple and teal glitters on clear base. I did 2 coats of Petites "Creme blue" and then 1 heavy coat of the glitter.

I'll Wait Up For You Dear
Last but not least we have a classic blue and red glitter combo in clear base. This one i had to sit down and look trough everything to decide on a base color. At first i wanted to go with white ( and yes i know i have a white polish obsession) but it didn't seem festive enough . But i got a package yesterday from a dear fellow lacquerhead and in the package was Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Gilded Lily. This mani screams Christmas .  I did 2 coats of GL and 1 coat of the glitter.

DifferentDImension - Sign Your 'X' On The Line

Normally when i get stuff for review i do 1 post but i got a surprise while working with one of the polishes i got from Missi at Different Dimensions that i had to give this polish its own post.

First let me introduce you to the blue loveliness that is Estee Lauder "Blue Blood" . This is a dark navy blue that has a bit of secret shimmer which reminds me of Chanels but not really. It applied ok just a bit too thick for my taste and for a polish that is $20.00 USD you better apply like a dream. I do have to say that it self leveled and i was happy with the results after i added my top coat.

Pretty right?  but then my glitter senses started to itch and i had to go to my indie drawer and while there i remembered the ones i got for review . I was floored with the end result like i can't freaking stop looking at my nails.

Sign Your 'X' On The Line is a mix of silver flakes and gold shreds in a clear base.  So this is only 1 coat over blue blood and look how amazing it looks.  I can't wait to try this over a red. It really applied smoothly and you know me i add a gelous coat to every glitter i use. Some top coat and you have this pretty appearance .

I wanted to get one of the gold leaf top coats but at $30 each .... heck even $15 is making me think it over a lot. I think this polish killed that want that i had and it makes me happy . I do need to buy the full size of this one and one other i loved from the 4 i got to review . The other 3 polishes are coming up in my next post later in the week so look out for that.

Gumdrops

Hi everyone !!!!! i just got back from my first interview and guess what ????? yup i got a cold :( oh well i had a ton of nail mail waiting and i was excited when i saw that my custom i had ordered from Different dimension was here. Let me tell you i have gotten customs before but no one had gotten my idea or vision as fast as she did . The first picture she sent me i was in love and its even more pretty in person.

Oh good news i like to share with my fellow lacquerheads and i know when you fall in love with someones custom and you can't get it its sad , so i told her i don't mind her selling it and she is going to have it for her sale in her shop next week :D .

So my "Gumdrops" is basically a white jelly with pink, teal and purple glitter . Along with that we have micro holoish ( is that even a word??? lol )   . I like wearing my white base glitters on top of a white polish because i like my white polish to be very crisp and vibrant , but i did try using it by itself and yes you have that squishy jelly finish in 2 coats , well 3 if you want it super opaque .  It applied great and i can't stop looking at my nails.

i just love it !!!! i already have another idea for xmas time with a white base , so  i should be bothering Missi to make me another custom soon. I also got a 2 more polishes from her regular collections during her sale so as soon as i have them on hand i will be posting .  To keep yourself updated on availability or just to see whats new you can check out her FB Page or to purchase her beauties go to her Etsy page.

more Different Dimension

today i have 3 more different dimension polishes. This ones i got a while back but life got in the way and i have a ton of reviews coming in the next few weeks .

" Sparkles Like Edward "
This one is a white jelly that has a ducohrome quality and different color holographic glitters. It goes opaque in 2 coats so no undies here. Application was easy. I did add a coat of Gelous before applying my top coat because i like the smooth glass like finish. But its not really necessary.  It is LIMITED EDITION and will be available until Nov / 16 / 2012 ( Breaking Dawn Part 2 - Premiere) . Of the 3 this one is my favorite.

"Boo, You Whore "
Part of the Mean Girls collection. It's a blue jelly with blue holographic glitter. I went with OPI DS Sapphire as a base because i wanted something that looked delicate and different than a blue undie with blue glitter. This one also was very easy to apply and like i said before 1 coat of gelous before my top coat.

" Maize & Blue "
Part of the Team Spirit collection. It's a dark blue jelly with yellow glitter . I did use an undie for this one because i wanted the end result to be more blue and of course it makes glitter removal easier . I went with OPI "Ogre the top blue" and applied 1 coat of Maize & Blue. Repeat Gelous + Top coat combo and you have a smooth glassy finish.  It was easy to apply and get even coverage of glitter.

You can get this polishes trough her Etsy Store . Also you can check Different Dimension's FB page to keep yourself up to date on anything new.

Different DImension Review :D

So today i have a new indie brand called "Different Dimension" which is bad for my budget since i was on an indie no buy and after trying this ones i want to get some more. You know i love my indies since about 98 % of my posts are indies so  i have become picky . I don't like excuses for taco glitter, bleeding or other issues the creator should have seen during testing i mean if they test .....  . So i have to say i was pleasantly surprise with this brand since it gave me no problem with application and *gasp* didn't have to add thinner to make it less gloppy .  So don't be surprise if this brand becomes a regular in the blog .

" On Wednesdays we wear pink "  its a creme pink with jelly qualities. It has different pink size hex glitter and some holo pink glitter to give it a slight color shift. It can be worn on its own with about 3 coats but you know me .... I like layering since it makes my glitter removal easier. I paired this pink goodness over OPI "Pink Friday" . This polish is part of the "Mean Girls" collection.

"Social Suicide "  is a mix of white and black hex glitter with some sparkle to it . I  love my w&b glitter but i hate bar glitter so this one is a nice addition and you know what i sold my b&w with bar glitter because this one hit the right spot for me .  I layered it over China Glaze "Kinetic Candy" . This one is also part of the "Mean Girls" collection.

"That is so Fetch" is a mix of different types of purple glitter with some holo glitter in there too. I have to say its one of my favorites and my mom has been looking at the bottle every time she comes to my room , so its probably her next mani. I layered this one over Ozotic "607" and let me tell you in person it was so sparkly and girly and yeah you guess it i might need a back up. The pictures really don't do it justice.  And if you are a fan i guess i don't have to say where the phrase comes from but just in case this is also part of the  "Mean Girls " collection.

"Purple People Eater" is a mix of purple, orange, green and black glitter. Its perfect for halloween . I love how it looks on top of white . I do have a thing for this type of glitter because its the only way i can wear white nail polish but i'm already planning  a combo for all hallows eve so you might see it again in a different layering combo. I used Bettina Matte ( white) as the base.

"Blue Christmas" is a mix of white and blue hexes some are holo and some silver holo hexes too . Its a very pretty mix which definitely reminds me of christmas and will probably be one of my manis during the season. I layered this one over Chanel "Coco Blue" .
