Whimsical Ideas by Pam - Kismet's Pajamas

I stumbled on to Pam's FB page purely by mistake but i'm so glad i did. She has her own line of custom mixed polishes which are gorgeous glitters and i love the packaging . I decided to ask what she had available and was ready to send my order but life happens and i had to put it on the back burner. Sometime later i remembered the email an wrote again determined to order and i did. I got Kismet's Pajamas and Hatched. 

For today we have Kismet's Pajamas,which is a black base glitter . Black glitters and me don't go together but KP is beautiful so i had to try it. It has silver and pink glitters which add depth and dimension in my opinion. Application was a dream, i did 1 coat of Loreal's Ravens Strength and 2 coats of KP . Now some of you know i like my glitters to look like glass so i added 1 coat of Gelous and 1 of Seche Vite and we now have a glass finish .

Rainbow Honey - Snake Eyes

As some of you might have seen i love my RH polishes . Heck i already pre-ordered the new collection and a full size of her Sakura Matsuri top coat.  From her first collection Chrono Cross i have Snake Eyes i'm lemming Siren Song but oh well maybe on the next store opening.  

Snake Eyes is a foamy green base with green and fuschia glitter . I went with Essie's Turquoise & Caicos as a base and did 2 coats and 2 coats of Snake Eyes, then 1 coat of Gelous followed finally by 1 coat of Seche Vite to get that smooth crystal look. It was easy to apply and a good amount of glitter comes out in every dip.

Lacquistry - Lilacquistry

i love the name it of this polish . Lilacquistry is  a super girly and sparkly purple varying sizes glitter.  I was on the mood for something bright and decided to finally use my Orly Beach Cruiser. That pink is neon bright and i need to be ease into it so i took out my glitterbomb and proceeded to apply . I did 2 coats of the Orly followed by 2 coats of the Lacquistry then 1 coat of Gelous and 1 of Seche Vite and we are smooth to the touch and very sparkly. The combo came out very girly and super bright perfect for spring or summer .

Pink & Purple

    I'm trying to go trough all my untried polishes, so i imposed a no buy ban until january of next year ( uhu i have THAT many untried ) . I'm on a pink mood so this week i will be sporting pinks . First Up we have Butter London "Disco Biscuit".  It can be described as a hot pink jelly like polish with blue micro glitter . Its beautiful and a pain to photograph. I do have to say that if you want the product you see in the bottle you will need to use a top coat, because if you don't the finish is rough . i did 3 coats and a top coat so i wouldn't have VNL.  On my ring finger i decided to add some sparkle.

365 days of Color - Summer Dream

 So i stumbled on this indie polish maker while browsing pages on facebook and saw her preview pics . At the time they were not for sale but as soon as she said sales were open i jumped on it. Summer Dream is a light-blue base with multicolor glitter . Application was smooth. I used 1 coat of China Glaze "Kinetic Candy " as a base and 2 coats of Summer Dream. I love all this solid base glitters that are coming out . If blue is not your thing you might want to check out Funfetti which is on a white base.

Cost is $4.50 for the mini or $20.00 for the whole 5 piece mini collection . If you want full size then is $8.00 or $38.00 for the whole collection in full size. Dior "Lucky"

All i can say is " where have you been all my life? ". This is one of my first nail polishes by Dior and i have fallen in love with the brush . I can say it compares to the new Wet & Wild Megalast nail polishes brush . Its perfect for my nail beds . I do have to say though this type of brush might not be for everyone. Some hate the shape of the brush while others love it . "Lucky" is part of the spring Color Block collection with Incognito,Plaza & Riviera . It can be best described as a hot pink coral color. If you put it against something pink you will see it more pink so the pinkish quality is there . Application was a dream and it took 2 coats to get it opaque.

Nostalgic Nail Lacquer - Rio

Rio is part of her "Truly Outrageous" collection , which also includes "Jem" (pink) , "Pizzazz" ( green) & the newly retired "Riot"( orange). They can be described as glitters in clear base. I used 2 coats of Wet&Wild Wild Shine - White ,1coat of fast drying top coat,  1 heavy coat of Rio and a coat of Seche Vite to smooth it out.

Rio is decribed on her website as " a mix of blue and purple glitters with a touch of holographic grey thrown in" .Price is $9.00  . She should be restocking probably at the end of the week .

Candeo - Dolce

oh pretty in pink monday for me ... I first got on the Candeo bandwagon with Jellybean and got more colors from them and today we have Dolce. It is best described as a milky pink with hexagonal purple,white and pink glitters with some irridecent smaller ones to give it more spark. This is two coats of Chanel's Melrose with 2 coats of Dolce on top.  Dolce did need a few drops of thinner to make it easier to work with.

 On a sad note just after i finished taking the pictures for this post my dog decided to be a "scared of thunder yorkie " and jumped on me destroying my mani but oh well there is always acetone and this gives me the chance to do another mani .

 

On the website Dolce is described as "Dolce has a cotton candy pink base with dark pink shimmer and multiple sizes of white, holo purple & silver hex and bar glitter. Also, holo silver half moons are in the mix." All the polishes are $8.00 . She does post minis sometimes so be on the lookout if thats what you want. Right know the shop is on vacation and she will restock probably friday but if you want to be notified or to buy when its fully restocked go here.

Nostalgic Nail Lacquer - Rayanne

Rayanne is part of her "My So Called-Life" collection which also include Angela ( red) and Jordan (blue), they can be described as jellies. I had to add a few drops of thinner so it was easier to place the glitter pieces. I used 2 thin coats of  Zoya "Dannii" as my base since i don't like to have  a VNL ( for those that don't know its visible nail line ) . Between the coats i used a fast drying top coat so it didn't get all mushy and glitter applied more smoothly. At the end i topped it off with Sache Vite.

Rayanne is described on her website as a  "purple based jelly with bright purple, lavender, burgundy, gunmetal, and pink glitters in various shapes and sizes." Price is $9.00  . She should be restocking either today or tomorrow.

Pretty & Polished - Wham Bam Thank You Ma'am

Let me start by saying i seriously need a nail polish ban with the amount i have been buying latetly. That said lets get on with the show. I got this baby on her Esty shop. I saw the swatches and went to look for it, but suprise its not on the shop anymore . So i asked Chelsea if she had at least 1 left and she did ( thank uuuu !!!! )

All That Glitters - Frantic Romantic

So i couldn't resist trying on Frantic Romantic it was the one i was most excited for .  I decided to use Lancome "Miss Perfectly Pink" as a base. Application needed 2 coats to get it super glittery , but getting hearts was a bit of a pain everything else came out fine. Although i have to say that i actually prefer not having hearts in all my nails, i think it looks less childish . I applied 2 coats of Lancome, 2 of frantic romantic & 1 coat of SV to smooth it out .

Pretty & Polished - Jawbreaker

so i know i said last week that i was doing Chanel LA Sunrise but i just got this baby on the mail and had to try it out. I do love the look it gives and it does really look like the white jawbreakers do , but my only complaint is that the bigger red pieces get stuck to the bottle. This still happens even after putting it upside down for a few minutes .

Franken - Lollipop

i mixed some loose glitter pigments i had that i was not  going to use for makeup and some bottles of holo top coat and glitters. I'm pretty happy with the result it reminds me of Sally Hansen's Pink Rockstar ,but with bigger  glitter  . i did 2 coats and probably should have done 3 .

Franken Sunday

i was bored last night and decided to clean my stash . I found some polishes that i really wasn't that fond of and haven't used in a while so i said why not try my hand at franken polishes and see what comes out.

Oh Butter London why did my first experience with you had to be so bad ?

I really tried to like it but i didn't work out . At first the name " No More Waity Katie" won me over then i was like its purple yay, so i got it , it sat on my untried bunch for a few months....  when i finally went to try it ...Noooooooo !!!!!!! it was too thick , i tried zoya renew drops , nope it didn't work . Application for me was a nightmare and there are no pictures of that adventure. I guess the reason why i have kept it is to remind myself to think it over when i want to make an impulse buy .
